Frequently Asked Questions

Find clear, concise answers to common questions about therapy services, appointment scheduling, and what to expect during sessions.

What can I expect during the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, any challenges you may be experiencing, and your goals for treatment. My approach is warm, supportive, and collaborative, and there is no pressure to share more than you feel ready for. The goal is to create a safe space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

People seek therapy for many different reasons. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from support. Therapy can help when you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally stuck, disconnected in relationships, navigating life transitions, or simply wanting a space to better understand yourself and your experiences. Reaching out for support is a meaningful step toward growth and healing.

What types of clients do you work with?

I work with individuals, couples, teens, and families experiencing a variety of emotional and relational challenges. Some common areas of focus include anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, communication challenges, family conflict, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and self-esteem concerns.

What is your approach to therapy?

I believe therapy works best when clients feel emotionally safe, supported, and free from judgment. My approach is compassionate, relational, and collaborative. I tailor therapy to each client’s unique needs while helping individuals and families better understand patterns, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier ways of coping with life’s challenges.
